Manager of IT Operations

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of our PHP-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Manage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and other AWS services, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect our systems, data, and assets from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide strategic guidance on implementing technological solutions that align with organizational goals.
Manage IT budgets, resource allocations, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in PHP development, AWS services, and cybersecurity, and provide guidance to the team on adopting and implementing new technologies and processes.

You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:

5-7 years of experience in PHP development, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, web application frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter), and database management systems.
5-7 years of experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and other related services.
1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity practices, including risk assessment, incident response, and security compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption techniques, and network security best practices.
Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage and mentor IT teams effectively.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in PHP, AWS, or cybersecurity (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP) are highly desirable.
