COBOL Mainframe Programmer
Madison, WI (Remote)

Top Skills & Years of Experience: 6-8 years of experience in the following:

Experience with various mainframe programming languages
Preferred languages: COBOL, JCL
Acceptable languages: Assembler, REXX
Experience working with middleware/interfaces and/or utilities such as CICS, MqSeries, Web Services, SYNCSORT.
Performs advanced systems analysis and programming services for complex applications across multiple platforms.
Experience working with DB2 databases

Nice to have skills:

Experience working with mainframe development tools such as IDz and ChangeMan.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge and skill using or supporting scheduling software like ControlM.

Position Summary
Performs advanced systems analysis and programming services for complex applications across multiple platforms. Provides business users with technical support for application maintenance activities. Has experience with various mainframe programming languages such as COBOL (preferred), Assembler, REXX, JCL (preferred). Experience working with middleware/interfaces and/or utilities such as CICS, MqSeries, Web Services, SYNCSORT. Experience working with DB2 databases preferred. Experience working with mainframe development tools such as IDz and ChangeMan. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and skill using or supporting scheduling software like Control-M.
