Job Title: IT Project Manager

End-User: CareFirst BCBS

Contract Duration: 12 months with potential for extension

Location: Hybrid, remote to start with expectation to move to 2 days per week in the Washington, D.C. office

Visa Restrictions: NOT H1B

Top 3 Must Have Skills:

5+ years of IT Project Management experience (note: not looking for experience with budgeting, schedules, resource allocations, more along the lines of Delivery Director/Manager), ideally with some exposure to the health insurance industry or healthcare in general, experience with a claims processing system (such as Facets, QNXT, NASCO, Amisys, etc.) would be a home run.
Stellar communication skills able to lead and facilitate communication across different teams and client stakeholders.
Prior experience with technical requirements dealing with API calls, File Transfers, Messaging, etc.
Position Description:

The Senior IT Project Manager leads, plans, executes, monitors, controls and closes projects for the
Claims Processing Infrastructure team. This role oversees and directs complex enterprise wide corporate
initiatives involving 15-50+ stakeholder groups across several organizational work streams utilizing Agile
and Waterfall methodology to deliver results.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Actively plan and manage large scale Waterfall or Agile projects holistically around scheduled
program increments/milestones, scope, cost, resource health and risks while collaborating with
stakeholders in key meetings resulting in successful project delivery.
• Coordinate technical changes with cross functional teams.
• Negotiate and obtain approval for schedules pertaining to Technical System Upgrades.
• Communicate technical change activities and scheduled outages with stakeholders.
• Manage the change requests and track its completion with team members. Ensure statuses are
updated in tracking system (ServiceNow).
• Lead documentation efforts to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that describe
change processes.
• Host meetings with stakeholders to intake, track status, and understand new project and
technical requests.
• Lead, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects for the Infrastructure Team.
• Prepare key documents, present business cases, and produce other reports as needed while
collaborating with stakeholders to bring technical deliverables for projects to completion.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience managing technical projects in a cross-functional, technical systems
implementation.
• Strong Communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to successfully lead in a matrixed environment.
