Location: Remote

Duration: Long Tern contract

Job Description:

The Senior Developer will perform a variety of administrative and managerial duties related to planning,

organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day functions of the applications development function.

They will work under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Applications Director to

provide general supervision to Programmers, Programmer Analysts, and Systems Analysts. They may

also provide additional guidance to subordinate personnel assigned to specific projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage and direct IT application development projects related to HealthRules Payer.
Evaluate and establish project priorities, delegate assignments, monitor work flow to assure
timely completion, determine performance standards, assign special projects, and distribute
work load.
Ensure that the applications are functioning correctly and available to end users.
Meet all team deadlines and responsibilities, develop team members to maximize potential,
help team members meet goals, welcome newcomers, and promote a team atmosphere.
Supervise training, set employee goals, coach, delegate assignments, coordinate special training,
maintain quality control, and set goals and priorities in a timely and efficient manner.
Evaluate worker performance and make decisions affecting job retention, advancement,
discipline, and discharge.
Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new hires.
Manage and coordinate daily activities of the applications development staff.
Establish guidelines, practices, processes, and procedures designed to enhance the efficiency
and effectiveness of application system functions.
Develop documentation standards for the applications development group and ensure
compliance with established standards, guidelines, and performance expectations.
Resolve complex issues.
Direct and perform general system maintenance.
Identify changes or modifications and assign projects to subordinate analysts and programmers.
Direct and perform application system analysis and design, data modeling, file design,
programming operations, system implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
Develop and implement quality assurance controls.
Direct and perform application programming.
Identify programming features and processes, select programming language, create program
source codes, test and de-bug programs.
Determine ease of program implementation or the need for various data conversions.
Qualifications:

5-7 years of Software Development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related Discipline.
Excellent knowledge of HealthRules Payer, HealthRules Connector, SQL Server, and Java.
