Job Title: Peoplesoft Applications DBA
Location: Redwood city, CA (100% On-sitefrom day 1)
Duration: Long term contract

LOCAL TO CALIFORNIA

This position provides mission critical Applications and Database administration support . A successful candidate should have recent and hands-on experience in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of application infrastructure environments.

JOB PURPOSE:
Install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, and maintain highly available applications using Oracle, PeopleSoft, web, application servers and databases.

CORE DUTIES*:
Support, patch and maintain PeopleSoft applications and database environments.
Build, configure, secure, and enhance PeopleSoft PIA server environments.
Responsible for daily change management and technical infrastructure maintenance and support.
Provide on-going application patching, environment refreshes and technical support.
Design, develop, and maintain highly available web application servers and databases both on-premises and in the Cloud.
Responsible for maintaining secure, scalable applications, databases, security and performance optimization, backup, and recovery strategies.
Maintain, support and upgrade applications, databases management systems.
Resolve highly complex, advanced applications and database issues.
Plan and implement pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
Develop, integrate and maintain secure connectivity with third party vendors between various on-prem to cloud environments.
Design, install and maintain highly available and secure application environments using current web and app server technologies (load balancing and clustering methods).
Participate in performance loading testing, tuning, and improving operational processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

PeopleSoft 9+ and Oracle DBA skills(Oracle 19c or higher).
Administer PeopleTools 8.57+ patching and upgrade
Experienced on Middleware with Tuxedo 12c+, Apache, Tomcat and fusion middleware. UNIX/WLST/Python Shell scripting, SQL scripting automation is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in support of large database applications/systems including performance analysis and tuning of high volume, transaction systems. Cloud implementation and support experience is a plus Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems platform.

Desired Skills:
Skilled in troubleshooting, configuring Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat and Databases.
Proven experience in Apache and Weblogic servers. SSL, PKI, keytool, etc.
Setup and management of Oracle data guard. GC, MySQL and or MongoDB experience.
Skilled in install/setup, management of highly available application environments.
Cloud AWS/GCS implementation and support experience is a plus.
Desires to grow in knowledge of DEVOps, CI/CD and Cloud technologies. Experience with database security protocol.
