About Job
The Plant Engineer will provide engineering support to maintain continuous plant operations and high efficiency. This position serves as a key technical resource in solving problems relating to stationery and rotating equipment, covering daily plant needs as well as project responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a lead site technical resource for piping systems, stationary equipment, and rotating equipment
Provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety, and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability
Provide technical expertise to support safe and reliable plant operation and maintenance of components
Support maintenance and work management by resolving engineering technical issues within the work management process, including simple trouble shooting support
Implement solutions to continuously improve reliability and reduce maintenance cost

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of industrial plant experience working with rotating equipment, piping systems, and preventative maintenance
Working knowledge of pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, motors, and gearboxes
Proficiency in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of industrial codes & standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, State)
Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints and documentation

Preferred

Experienced with bearings (rolling & sleeve), couplings, mechanical seals, and pressure vessels
Experience with oil analysis, vibration analysis, outage planning, parts and machinery refurbishment, and re-engineering of parts
Specific knowledge of power plant operation and steam turbine generator sets.
Basic knowledge of electrical generation, transformer, and power distribution
