Key Outcomes / Responsibilities
Leads development & execution of sourcing strategies for chemical categories in North America
Develops procurement strategies that maintain and improve competitive business positions, in alignment with internal stakeholders and strategic business plans
Negotiates procurement agreements that are consistent with the category strategy and best practices
Manages key relationships with Buckman suppliers as part of an integrated and collaborative cross functional team
Develops risk management plans for key spend categories
Provides market intelligence and key insights to business stakeholders
Utilizes market, spend, demand, cost and other quantitative analysis
Conducts RF(X)s
Leads new supplier qualification and substitution initiatives

Proven negotiating skills and contracting experience
Strong communication skills and ability to build consensus and gain alignment
Demonstrated ability to create and lead a case for change
Exceptional analytical decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, chemistry, engineering or other quantitative discipline.
Minimum seven (7) years work experience in procurement, commercial and/or supply chain – a related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Highly Desirable Experiences
MBA or other advanced degree
3+ years of experience managing chemical categories
SAP and e-procurement software knowledge
