Job Description

Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”

Design and lead the implementation of an Enterprise Architecture that supports the organization’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Drive alignment and governance across the various architectural domains (e.g., Business, Information, Technology, and Security).
Understand, advocate and support the enterprise’s strategies along with assisting in the development and implementation/realization of the various product and solution roadmaps.
Analyze the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise and its architecture.
Identify and analyze enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context.
Promote the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise’s IT and business leaders.
Work with portfolio stakeholders, engage in the enterprise prioritization meetings, and align with methodology to realize the implementation of key future state initiatives.
Lead the evaluation and recommendation of solution and technology standards and help implement governance processes to ensure enterprise alignment.
Consult with product management, cross-functional architects and delivery teams, aligning solution designs to the defined future state, identify opportunities to modify/mature the architecture to accommodate changes.
Help lead the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the enterprise architecture.
Identify required architectural pipeline in support of upcoming business features/capabilities, and where necessary work with business leadership to ensure that it is prioritized.
Participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives, formulating an architectural vision to drive delivery.
Advises leadership about industry best practices, trends, and technology, which would influence the organization’s strategic direction.
Effectively communicate using written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, information technology or other related field plus 10-15 years of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

5 to 8 years of experience in at least two architecture disciplines (such as application/solution architecture, technical/Infrastructure architecture, information/data Architecture, enterprise architecture & business architecture).
Proven record of grasping highly complex problems and turning them into actionable plans to deliver quick time-to-value.
Experience in Healthcare is highly preferred and Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation industry is a plus.
Proven experience working with company leadership and driving delivery teams in an influential role to deliver architecture results based on business objectives, technology direction, service level agreements and approved funding.
Must have experience in establishing and implementing effective governance processes and capable of leading and facilitating workshops with both business and technical team members to drive change.
Experience and strong knowledge in:
Business Architecture – guiding activities and deliverables such as journey mapping, value stream mapping and operating models to address targeted business outcomes.
Enterprise Software – designing, building, and modernizing enterprise software products that satisfy functional and non-functional business requirements.
Cloud Computing – building and deploying cloud native and cloud enabled solutions. Strong understanding of hybrid cloud solutions.
Analytics – using of information as a strategic asset – building and deploying information/data-centric solutions.
Must be a relationship builder and capable of functioning with only limited oversight. Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
Demonstrated a set of skills that include but not limited to:
Strong leadership, vision, effective communication and goal oriented.
Emotional maturity in guiding and influencing challenging team and development environments.
Political awareness and skill to drive change.
Relevant experience with a broad range of architectural domains (Business, Information, Technology, and Security).
