Position: Cloud Systems Engineer

Location: Remote

The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the enterprise’s servers and systems that support the various operation units of the enterprise. The Junior System Administrator is expected to conduct system analysis and development to keep our systems current with changing technologies. They provide administration functions including project planning, systems design and engineering, performance management, security auditing and capacity planning.

Preferred Certifications & Training. RHCSA certification (entry level Red Hat cert) or equivalent experience. MCSE or equivalent experience.

Note : Certification must either cloud or RHCSA certification or MCSE(12+ experience )

Job Description :

Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role. Azure, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred. Troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Client management skills to discuss systems as needed.

Scaled Agile/ITIL (familiarity is sufficient / should have some experience). Packer, Python, Powershell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Git. Requirements.
Principal Accountabilities. Demonstrates leadership in resolving medium to complex problems for multiple technologies where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
Improvising and collaborating on solutions while developing long term solutions. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
Analyze performance indicators to ensure optimal utilization of resources. Perform root cause analysis and presentation to management to ensure issue is resolved or mitigated.
Works with multiple platforms, conducting performance tuning, capacity planning, detailed monitoring and reporting at the engineering level. Responsible for secure design, implementation and compliance of systems and security baselines according to DISA STIG standards.
Maintain high quality documentation, including policies and compliance-related information. Formulates requirements for OS based systems for multiple cloud providers and provides detailed implementation plans with documentation and diagrams.
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Interprets internal and external business issues and recommends best practices.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Leading technical projects involving participants from multiple technology areas of the company. Ability to speak to the business regarding technology solution decisions and strategies. Planning, design, implementation and monitoring that projects are progressing to meet deadlines and comply with the company and business requirements.
Communicates effectively and clearly with employees, immediate manager, and other department managers.

Technical Skills and Knowledge.

Be able to communicate technical details to non-technical audience.
Solid written and oral communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions.
Ability to work well in a group problem-solving situation. Ability to work without direct supervision.(nice to have). Ability to design and implement complex infrastructure solutions in a tightly controlled environment through stringent Change Control process.
Ability to work closely with Information Security, Networking, Storage and other teams to accomplish projects in a timely manner.
